Drying For Freedom Nearly Here!

We have been waiting a long time but it looks like the drying for freedom movie is not far off from being released.

These are the guys that have travelled the world looking at the clothes line or washing line and how it is used.

On the Drying for Freedom website they talk about the previem night back in May so I would think we should get an update shortly on when we as the general public might be able to see it and where.

I for one are looking forward to seeing what the guys have put together.

Here is the link to their website for further info Drying for Freedom

Why was the Clothesline every banned?

In our modern world with all our fancy gadets and phones and the need to go more eco friendly, there are still rules and bans in place that I just dont get!

The clothesline or washing line is one of the most eco friendly devices that you can ever get, harnessing the suns rays to “dry the solar way”. This system costs nothing to run other than the initial cost to buy a line or a length of rope, yet it is banned in so many areas and country’s around the world.

Im based in Australia so I have grown up with drying clothes on the clothesline as just a way of everyday life, yet in the US and Canada it is against all the rules to dry your clothes outdoors for free!

What were these law makers thinking back in the last century? My home and all the others around it are worth 700K and everyone drys washing, so I dont get the argument that house prices will fall.

When will these developed countries stand up and remove these stupid bans that are costing home owners plenty with all the power and gas needed to dry laundry? I applaude the fighters in the US trying to make a difference and lets all get behind them and make the law makers listen and remove these laws.

I also found a great post on clotheslines and here is the link to see the many different styles around.
